It was during 2025 when we visited Jhalana. Jhalana is a unique place close to Jaipur city and sprawling jungle setting for a Leopard Sanctuary. We sighted 'Bahadur' an old and aged Leopard, it was thirsty and came to the water hole. It drank the water for more than 20-25 minutes and gave us ample opportunities for clicking some excellent photos.
Best Time to visit is during early summer and during winters, As this sanctuary is within Jaipur city limits, getting there early would help you get the tickets.
During weekends and holidays it may get crowded. Summers will be very hot, carry plenty of water.
Photography tips - get a wide angle lens, something like 70-200mm as you get to photograph the leopards up close
